Mandy Masciarelli
"How do you make a product leap off a crowded shelf?"
With packaging that's equal parts fine art and sales tool. Mandy has been perfecting that blend for 30 years.
Mandy Masciarelli's label and packaging design is prolific, gorgeous, and compelling. She began her graphic-design career in Napa in the early nineties and spent twelve years assisting renowned wine-package designer Jeffrey Caldewey — work featured in his book Icon — Art of the Wine Label.
Working in premium packaging and point-of-sale design since the early nineties, Mandy brings a fine-art eye to any brand that wants its shelf presence to sell. She holds a B.S. in Business Administration from Sacramento State and a certificate in Applied Graphics from Santa Rosa Junior College, and remains a long-time Napa resident.
What Mandy does at DigiVino
As Label & Print Design Lead, Mandy handles the part of a brand you can pick up. Packaging, labels and point-of-sale are a different discipline from web design — the constraints are physical, the proofing is unforgiving, and the shelf gives you about two seconds to make your case. Doing it since the early nineties, beginning in Napa, is why a Mandy label tends to look inevitable rather than merely designed.
